The R&E Division of Founder's Trust supports the Founder's Trust
mission by scientifically investigating best practices in, programs
for, and public policy impacting the treatment, rehabilitation and
education of juveniles, adults and families. The R&E Division provides
these services via contracts with correctional, educational and
treatment providers, governmental agencies, universities, other
research groups, and related organizations.
Core R&E Division staff have been conducting
research and evaluation for programs serving youth and adults
for over 30 years. Areas of interest and expertise include:
- Program evaluation, including evaluability assessments,
writing evaluation plans for proposals and new programs, establishing
data management systems, data analysis and reporting of evaluation
results, and analysis of existing data sets.
- Assessment and outcome instrument selection, development,
computerization, implementation, workflow management, and training.
- Consultation on database software selection, database
modeling, and real-world integration of clinical and performance
improvement processes with software systems.
- External research project management on behalf of provider
organizations.
- Literature reviews and research to support program
development, add to the best practices literature, and provide
the foundation for public policy recommendations.
